Description

This is an 18th-century cottage located on Main Street in Barrowden. The cottage is constructed primarily of coursed rubble stone with quoins, a Welsh slate roof, and a stone base. The upper part of the building has been rebuilt using buff brick. The gables are coped with stone. The front of the cottage has two storeys with two 3-light casement windows on each floor, which are modern replacements. A first-floor window opening has been blocked on the left-hand end of the building, and a one-story extension with a rear entrance has been added. The cottage is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
