Description

This is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of roughly-coursed ironstone rubble with a corrugated iron roof, and features stone gable copings with decorative kneelers. The main block has brick chimneys positioned on either side. The building is two bays wide on the left, with a 1 1/2 storeys and a lower single-storey bay with an attic to the right. It is set at a right angle to the street. The left bays contain wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars, a three-light window on the ground floor and two-light dormers with eyebrow roofs in the upper storey. A 20th-century gabled wooden porch shelters the doorway between the bays. The right bay has a 20th-century wooden casement and door to the left, and further 20th-century casements set in chamfered stone surrounds to the gable end.
