Description
Home Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 19th century. It is constructed of dressed ironstone, with some parts in ashlar, and features an asbestos slate roof. The house has a coped gable on the left side and brick chimneys on stone bases located to the left and center.
The building is two storeys high and originally consists of two bays. The windows are 19th to 20th century three-light barred wooden casements with stone sills, and the ground floor windows have Uppingham stone lintels. There is a small single light window to the right of the center. The door, which is from the 20th century, is located to the left of the center and has a stone lintel with a keyblock, along with a cast iron boot-scraper to the right.
To the right, there is a mid-19th century extension consisting of one bay, featuring a Welsh slate roof and large four-pane sash windows. On the left side, there is a late 19th to 20th century brick wing that is two storeys high and has two bays, with a Welsh slate roof, wooden casements, and a central door set in a glazed lean-to porch.
