Description

Old Hall Barn, now known as Christine Hairdressing Salon, is a building dating from the 18th century located on Church Street in North Luffenham. It features coursed rubble stone construction with quoins and stone dressings, topped with a combination of Collyweston slate and corrugated hipped roofs. The structure is 1½ storeys high, with a long barn on the left and a small 1-storey outhouse on the right. The barn has a double sliding door, a single door with a similar over, two 20th-century windows, and a glazed door. At the rear, there is a central moulded stone pediment with a rounded arch beneath, which contains double sliding doors, with additional doors and loft doors on either side. This barn was originally an outbuilding of Luffenham Old Hall, which was demolished in 1806. Additionally, there is a wall approximately 3 meters high that extends from the rear corner of the barn towards the church along the driveway.
