Description
Home Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century to the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone, featuring quoins and stone dressings, topped with a Collyweston slate roof that has a moulded stone central ridge and right end stacks, the latter being massive and square with four linked flues. The building is 2½ storeys high and has three windows across the front.
The central feature is a projecting two-storey porch with a moulded stone Tudor arched doorway and door, which is adorned with a hood mould. Above the porch, there is a round-arched one-light window, and to the left on the first floor, a two-light stone mullion window. On the ground floor to the left of the porch, there are a two-light and a three-light stone mullion window, with no windows on the first floor, and a three-light dormer above. To the right of the porch, there is a lean-to and a three-light stone mullion window, again with no first-floor windows, along with two three-light dormers. The left end of the building features a one-storey extension and two two-light windows above.
