Lenton Grove (School Of Music) University Of Nottingham

Lenton Grove, now the School of Music at the University of Nottingham, is a house built around 1825. It features roughcast walls, a hipped slate roof, and a rendered ridge stack. The building has a plinth and a wooden eaves cornice supported by brackets. It is two storeys tall and has five windows across the front and three down the sides. Most of the windows are original glazing bar sashes. The central doorway, which has been altered to a window, is flanked by two tall sashes, and above it are five smaller sashes. The left side has an added single cell with a pediment on the right and a single storey addition with four windows on the left. The right side has a recessed centre with hipped wings on either side. At the rear, there is a segment-arched stair window. Inside, there is a round-ended stairwell with a winder stair and stick balusters, as well as panelled round arches in the entrance hall.
