Description
Lenton Fields, located at the University of Nottingham, is a house that has been converted into a hall of residence. It was built around 1830, with a late 19th-century addition. The building features a stucco exterior and a hipped slate roof. It has a plinth, a rusticated ground floor, a first-floor band, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course. The structure is two storeys tall and has a three-by-three window arrangement. Most of the windows are original glazing bar sashes set in moulded surrounds, with cornices above the ground floor windows.
On the east front, there is a canted bay window to the right, flanked by two sashes on the left, and three sashes above. To the right, there is a set-back service range with a panelled door beneath a flat hood. The south front features three tall sashes on the ground floor and three smaller sashes above. The west front includes a bow window on the right, three sashes, and an attached billiard room from the late 19th century, which is a single storey with a hipped roof and three windows. Above the billiard room, there are three additional sashes.
