Description
The Lodge at Lenton Abbey Recreation Ground, built around 1860, is now a house. It features red and yellow brick with blue brick and ashlar dressings. The steep pitched hipped roof is covered with plain tiles and has a large brick ridge stack. The building has a blue brick plinth, polychrome bands, and moulded eaves. It is two storeys high and consists of a single bay. The entrance front facing Woodside Road has a projecting central bay topped with a coped gable and finial, and has corbelled angled corners. The central entrance is a round-arched board door, with a round-arched window above it. On either side, there are two small round-arched windows. The left side facing Derby Road features a hipped central projection with a single window and a quatrefoil above it, along with a two-light window that has a stone mullion to the left.
