SK53NW WEST DRIVE 646-1/6/706 (West side) West lodge and screen wall at entrance to West Drive

GV II

Lodge and attached screen wall. c1928. By Morley Horder for Nottingham University College. Ashlar with lead roofs. Classical Revival style. Plinth, pediments, coped parapet. 2 storeys; single bay. Cruciform plan. Projecting pedimented bay on each side, with a large glazing bar sash in moulded surround with frieze and cornice. Above, a smaller sash in plain surround. Cartouche in pediment to front. On the drive side, a coped screen wall, with plinth and square end pier topped with an urn.
