Description
This is a late 18th-century house, later altered in the mid-19th century and again in the late 20th century, and now used as offices. The exterior is stuccoed, with a rendered ground floor, and has a slate roof. The house has a plinth and a band at the level of the first-floor windows. It is three storeys high plus attics, with a symmetrical arrangement of four windows on the front elevation. The windows on the first and second floors retain their original 12-pane and 9-pane sashes. The upper floors are divided by pilasters, and a decorative band runs between the floors, topped by a dentillated cornice and a frieze featuring swags and roundels. Balustrade panels are positioned below the first-floor windows. The attics have panels containing four roundels, with the outer ones being glazed. To the left, a recessed bay sits above a side passage, with original sashes on the first and second floors. The ground floor features a rebated round-arched doorway with a panelled door and fanlight. To the right of the doorway are two round-arched windows with glazing bars, and to the left is a 20th-century garage door. The interior includes a wrought-iron staircase and plaster panelling.
