Description
35 and 37 St Mary's Gate is a warehouse built around 1880. It is constructed of red brick with terracotta decorations and is designed in the Italianate style. The building features a cornice at the ground floor, sill bands, and a modillion eaves cornice. The windows are plain sashes arranged in a six-window range across three storeys plus a basement. The ground floor is divided by brick pilasters, with a passageway and a renewed door on the left, and five windows with basement openings on the right. The first floor has six windows topped with pediments, while the second floor features six smaller windows with keystones. All windows have moulded architraves. This building is included for its group value.
