Description
This is a house located at 208 Mansfield Road, built around 1893. It is constructed of red brick with brick and ashlar dressings and features a plain tile roof. The house has two side wall stacks and a single gable stack, along with a plinth and string courses. It stands two storeys high with attics and has a two-window range.
The windows are mainly plain sashes with wooden mullions and transoms. The street front features a gabled bay on the left with a canted bay window that has two lights, topped by a hipped roof. Above this is a cross-mullioned window with three lights. Higher up, there is a timber-framed gable with rendered nogging and a cross-framed window. In the centre, there is a single light mullioned window on each floor.
To the right, there is a round corner tower with two stages, topped by a conical spire roof and a finial, which has three single light mullioned windows on each floor. The entrance front, located to the right, features a half-glazed door with sidelights beneath a glazed wooden canopy supported by brackets. To the right of the entrance is a triangular bay window with two lights. The left return of the house displays irregular fenestration, including a segment-arched cross-mullioned stair window with three lights and a hipped dormer.
