Description
This is a mid-19th century house with additions dating to around 1890, designed by Watson Fothergill of Nottingham. It is constructed of red brick with a rendered ground floor, and features ashlar and terracotta detailing. The roof is covered with slate and plain tiles, with two lateral brick stacks. The house is two and three storeys high, and has a three-window front.
On the left-hand side of the street facade is a square, three-storey tower with a pyramidal roof and finial. This tower contains a two-storey canted bay window with a four-light wooden-traced window on the ground floor, a cross casement above that, and two leaded casements on the second floor which are set within decorative sham timber framing with brick infill. To the right of the tower is a moulded wooden doorcase framing a half-glazed door with a sloping hood supported on brackets. Adjacent to the doorcase is a three-light canted bay window, also with a similar sloping hood; above the bay is a single light window and to the right a three-light cross casement.
The right return has an octagonal tower featuring partly leaded casements and a spire roof.
