Description
No. 4 Swarkestone Road is a building that likely dates back to the 16th century but has undergone significant alterations. The front of the building features early 19th-century painted brickwork and stands two storeys high. It has one three-light casement window and a sash window on the ground floor, which includes glazing bars and modern shutters. There is a plain doorway on the left side with a modern glazed door. The gabled end to the north showcases exposed timber cruck with a truncated apex, modillion eaves, and old tiles. There are later additions at the rear. Inside, the north side displays exposed timber framing, and the ground floor has exposed ceiling beams.
