Description

No. 3 Chapel Street is a timber-framed and plastered building, likely originating from the 15th century. It underwent alterations in the 16th and 17th centuries and was re-fronted in the early 19th century. The building has two storeys with a parapet and features a four-window range of modern casements with square hoodmoulds on the upper storey. The ground storey includes an early 19th-century shop bay window with glazing bars in the center, flanked by two later 19th-century shop windows at the east and west ends. The roof is tiled and modern. Inside, the building showcases exposed timber-framing along with some moulded ceiling beams and joists.
