Description

1 Chapel Street and 101 High Street is an early 19th-century house with a brick front that has been painted. It features a return frontage on Chapel Street, marked as No 1 Chapel Street on the map. The building has an older core with exposed beams visible on the interior. It is two storeys high, with a three-window range on the east front and a four-window range on the north front. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in plain reveals, topped with stuccoed flat arches. The east front includes a six-panel door that is framed by a doorcase with panelled reveals, pilasters, and a cornice. The roof of the section facing High Street is covered with old tiles, while the section facing Chapel Street has a hipped slate roof.
