Description
The College of Art Annexe, built in 1876 with additions in 1899, is a significant example of Gothic style architecture designed by F W Waller of Waller and Son, Gloucester. The building is constructed of stone and features three storeys plus an attic. It has four-light mullioned and transomed windows with pointed arched heads and plate tracery, along with leaded lights. On the left side, there is a polygonal tower topped with a tiled pointed roof. The entrance is marked by a pointed arched doorway set in a projecting gabled porch. The attic includes three gabled windows above intricately carved panels that bear the inscription "Municipal Technical College." The right side of the building has a gable with a tiled roof, featuring a central lantern and fleche. Additionally, there is a two-storeyed recessed bay on the left side, which contains two pointed arched recesses and two windows below.
