Description
No. 45 St Peter's Street is a building dated 1912, constructed in stucco. It features three storeys and an attic with gables, and has two slightly projecting gabled bays, with the left-hand bay set at a splayed angle. The windows are wood mullioned with transoms that are arched at the center, and there is a Venetian window in each gable. The windows have leaded lights, and the gables and panels below the windows showcase decorative moulded stucco work. On the first storey, there are three niches with semi-circular canopies that contain small statues of local celebrities. A later modillion cornice is present at the first floor, along with tiles. The return side has additions from 1938 that are generally in a similar style, and there are modern shop fronts.
