Description

This is a milepost, likely from the mid-19th century, located on the east side of Wakefield Road in Garforth. It is made of stone and features cast-iron plates. The stone post has a triangular section and a flat semicircular head. Cast-iron plates with raised lettering are bolted onto the head and each of the two outer faces.
