Description
This bridge, built around 1834, carries the Leeds-Selby railway line over Barwick Road. Designed by engineer G. Smith, it is constructed of red brick with sandstone dressings. The bridge features an elliptical headed archway, which is accented by rusticated quoins, impost bands, and voussoirs at the portals. A stone band runs along the parapet, which has rounded coping and splayed ends that are finished as pilasters.
