Description
Milestone located in front of Number 1 Grove Cottages, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It features a single-arched stone structure that is overlaid with cast-iron, shaped in a triangular section. The letters on the milestone are in relief. The top of the milestone reads "LEEDS & HARROGATE ROAD WIGTON." The left face displays "HAREWOOD," while the right face indicates distances: "HARROGATE 10 MILES" and "LEEDS 5 MILES."
