Description
This milestone, located approximately 100 meters north of the entrance to Lofthouse Grange, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It features an arched stone structure that is overlaid with cast iron, which is triangular in section. The letters on the milestone are in relief. The top of the milestone reads "LEEDS & HARROGATE ROAD HAREWOOD." The left face indicates "LEEDS HAREWOOD 7 MILES," while the right face states "HARROGATE 8 MILES."
