Description

The quadrant walls and piers at the east fronts of Number 1 and The Vicarage are early 19th century structures that mark the entrance to the village. These walls are made of hammer-dressed stone and feature chamfered ashlar coping. They end in square ashlar piers that have chamfered caps. This area became the main approach to Harewood House during this period.
