Description

This milestone, located approximately 250 meters north of the entrance to Wikefield Farm, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It features a single-arched stone that is overlaid with a cast-iron section shaped like a triangle. The letters on the milestone are in relief. The top of the milestone reads "LEEDS & HARROGATE ROAD WIKE," while the left face displays "HAREWOOD," and the right face indicates distances: "2 MILES LEEDS HARROGATE 6 MILES 9 MILES."
