Description
MICKLEFIELD GREAT NORTH ROAD SE43SW LS26 (west side) Barn forming west side 5/69 of yard to south of Hall Farmhouse, with attached gin-house.
GV II
Barn, with attached gin-house. Probably late C18 or early C19, altered. Magnesian limestone rubble, stone slate roof. Rectangular plan, probably 6 bays. East side mostly covered by added shelter for stockyard. West side has short full- height porches to the 2nd and 4th bays, doors altered, a pantiled monopitched roof between these at 1/2 height making an open shelter, and to the right of the 2nd porch a hexagonal horse-gin house, formerly open alternate sides now blocked with brick, under a hipped pantile roof. Barn roof hipped at both ends and swept over eaves. Interior altered at various dates. Included for group value.
