2/24 South African War Memorial in Crow Nest Park, 300 yards east of Crow Nest House

Memorial to South African war (1899-1902). Life-sized bronze infantryman with rifle. The base is in red granite, square and stepped. Each face has bronze plaque with names of those who fell arranged according to regiments.
