Description
The gatepiers and gates at West Town Gate to Crow Nest Park are a late 19th-century entrance feature. There are four large, square gatepiers made of ashlar stone, each panelled and topped with pyramidal caps on a coved cornice. They have moulded square bases and include wrought iron brackets designed to hold gas lamps. The main entrance features a pair of ornate wrought iron gates, along with two similar side gates, all decorated with elegant scrolls and leaf-like designs.
