Description

9 and 11 Water Street are a pair of buildings dating from the mid-19th century. They are constructed of ashlar and have a pitched slate roof. The buildings have a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course along the top of the facade. There are two ranges of sash windows; the ground-floor windows have a moulded surround, plain frieze, and moulded cornice. A door with Tuscan columns, a moulded cornice, and a blocking course provides access. Number 11 also has a door leading to a passageway, featuring four moulded panels, a blind semi-circular fanlight with moulded voussoirs and imposts, and a vermiculated keystone.
