Description

72 and 78 Fitzwilliam Street are a pair of buildings dating from the mid-19th century. They are constructed of ashlar with a pitched slate roof and feature a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course. The buildings are two storeys high, with four ranges of sash windows, each with glazing bars and moulded surrounds. Each property has a door with four moulded panels, a fanlight, Tuscan piers, an entablature, and a blocking course. Number 72 has a passage entrance distinguished by a round arch and a hollow-chamfered surround.
