Description

The tower located in the north-west corner of the railway yard, likely built around 1878 during the station's extension and the construction of the goods warehouse, is constructed of red brick with blue brick quoins, imposts, and strings. It features pink brick voussoirs and a yellow brick cornice, topped with a pyramidal slate roof. The eaves overhang and are supported by yellow brick brackets. The tower includes an oculus and has blind arcades with three arches on each side, featuring ashlar keystones near the top. The center lights of the arches are glazed and include glazing bars.
