Description

This milestone, located in the garden of Salt Pie, dates from the early to mid 19th century. It is a stone post with a triangular front, inscribed on two faces with the directions to Huddersfield and Penistone, indicating distances of 9 miles and 3.5 miles respectively. The stone appears to have been moved slightly from its original position.
