Description

Milestone located at the junction with Lydgate Road, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is a triangular fronted stone post. The upper part of the front two faces is dressed to accommodate the inscription: "TO HUDDERSFIELD 7 MILES PENISTONE 5½ MILES."
