Description
No. 29 Market Place is a shop located on a corner site, dating from the early 19th century. The building has been altered and features ashlar stonework that was originally keyed to support stucco, which has since been removed. It has a hipped slate roof with a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course. The structure is three storeys high and has three bays. The windows on the ground floor are modern casements with projecting sills, while the first-floor windows have been shortened to accommodate a high fascia for modern shops below. There are blank panels above the second-floor windows, and the side elevation contains four casements on the first and second floors. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
