Description
Nos. 15, 17, 19, and 21 Market Place are shops designed in the Italianate Palazzo style, built in the mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed from ashlar stone and feature raised vermiculated quoins. They stand three storeys tall and include sill bands and a top entablature supported by long brackets. The façade has four bays, with the first-floor windows framed by architraves, a pulvinated frieze, and a cornice. The second-floor windows are segmental-headed and have bracketed sills. The ground floor has been altered to accommodate modern shops. These buildings are included in the listing for their group value.
