Description
This building, known as Egypt, is a house that has been divided and dates from the 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone with large quoins and has a rendered rear and gables. The stone slate roof features chamfered gable copings on moulded kneelers. The house is two storeys high and has a continuous string course above the ground floor openings.
The near central door has an arched lintel and chamfered reveals. The windows are all double chamfered, although most of the mullions have been removed. On the left side, there is a 5-light window with a 4-light window above it. Above the door, there is a 3-light window, and to the right, there is a 4-light window on both floors. To the extreme left, there is a later doorway leading to No. 64. At the rear, there is an outshut of similar date, which has one 2-light window and one altered 5-light window.
