Description
The gatepiers and gates at Boothroyd Gate to Crow Nest Park were built in the late 19th century. There are four square gatepiers made of ashlar stone, each featuring panelled designs, segmental pedimented caps, and large square bases. The piers are inscribed in capital letters with the words "BOOTHROYD GATE." Each pier is topped with decorative wrought iron brackets designed to hold gas lamps. The entrance includes a pair of large, heavy, ornate iron gates, along with two side gates, all adorned with scroll and leaf-like decorations.
