Description
This barn, located to the north of North Midgelden Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of watershot masonry and features a stone slate roof. The south front has quoins and includes a semi-circular arched cart entry, along with a doorway at the lower right end, which has a tie-stone and a slightly chamfered surround. The rear of the barn has a similar layout. Inside, the barn consists of three bays formed by two tall pointed stone arches that are similar in style to those found at the nearby Lower Hanging Shaw.
