The building has stone gutter brackets and a gable entry situated between two windows. Above the doorway, there is a recessed stone plaque that reads: "THIS SCHOOL was BUILT by PUBLIC SUBSCRIPTION A.D.1829 For CHILDREN of all RELIGIOUS DENOMINATIONS."
