Description
No. 1 White Hart Fold is a shop with a house above, dating from around 1830. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has raised rusticated quoins. The gable has a triangular pediment with a blind lunette. The ground floor projects forward to create a shop front, with a balcony above that leads to the entrance of the house on the first floor. The doorway has monolithic jambs and is located next to two sashed windows. On the second floor, there are two smaller sashed windows with plain stone surrounds and projecting sills. The left side of the building has a cantilevered stone stair leading to a side entrance on the first floor, with two sashed windows on this face. The right side features a lateral stack.
