Description

The Royal George Hotel, at numbers 13, 15 and 17 Rochdale Road, Todmorden, is a late 18th-century shops and public house. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The façade facing Rochdale Road has been altered, while the façade facing Water Street largely retains the original window pattern. The building is three storeys high and features a broad band above the ground-floor windows. There are four bays of windows, each with flat-faced mullioned windows of five lights, although some windows lack mullions. Three stacks are present on the ridge. The building is included in the list for its group value.
