Description

This is a milestone located next to number 371 on Rochdale Road in Todmorden, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of a single stone with an arched top. The inscription on the stone indicates the distance to Todmorden as 1 mile, with a hand pointing to the left, and to Rochdale as 8 miles, with a hand pointing to the right. The word "WALSDEN" is also included on the milestone.
