Description

Pinnel Lock, also known as Lock 26 on the Rochdale Canal, was built in 1798. It features large rusticated stone support walls and cappings, along with a recess for gates. The lock is equipped with the facility for a double set of bottom gates. It has a square angled entry and includes stone steps that lead down to the lower canal level.
