ELLAND STAINLAND ROAD SE 079195 (west side) 5/127A Nos 5 and 6 (Holroyd Square)

House and shop, Early C18 with later alterations. Hammer-dressed stone, rendered to first floor, stone slate roof with coped gable and kneelers, 2 storeys. Gable end to street has large quoins, band between storeys. Single flat faced mullioned window of 4 lights with square recess to each floor (2 mullions removed from ground floor window). Front to Holroyd Square is much altered but retains band and one 4-light flat faced mullioned window (lacking 2 mullions) to first floor. Central stack to ridge.
