Description
Two houses and a shop, dating to the late 18th century and early 19th century. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone with a graduated stone slate roof. It has three bays by two bays, and four storeys. Raised quoins and an eaves cornice are present. One bay features blocked dressed loading doors on each floor, while the other bays have paired sash windows with square-cut surrounds on each floor, some of which are blind. On the High Street elevation, rusticated quoins are visible, along with a shop window on the ground floor and paired and single sash windows to the first and second floors. There are ridge and gable chimney stacks. The rear forms a separate, parallel range, dating to the 18th century. This range has four storeys, a door with a square-cut surround, and a seven-light recessed mullion window with a king mullion on each floor. The building is included on the list for its group value, relating to the wider streetscape.
