Description

Well Head and Well Head Cottage is a shop, house, and cottage dating from the early 19th century, with possible earlier origins. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and has a stone slate roof. It features mostly 2-light flat-faced mullioned windows and large quoins at the right-hand end. The left side has a recent shop front, and there are three doorways with monolithic jambs. The building has three stacks along the ridge. In the left gable, which is rendered, there is a 2-light arch-headed window. This listing is noted for its group value only.
