Description

No. 48 on Town Gate is an early 19th-century house that is attached to No. 46. It features finely dressed stone and a stone slate roof, and it has two storeys. The doorway has monolithic jambs, with a single window above that has a projecting sill. To the right, there is a full-height segmental bay window with three lights on each floor. A stack is located at the junction with No. 46. At the rear, there is a preserved three-light chamfered mullioned window on the first floor. The house backs onto a pub yard.
