Description
Furley House is a house that dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century, which has been re-fronted to the street and partly altered at the rear in the early 19th century. It is constructed of finely dressed stone and has a stone slate roof. The building has three storeys and features quoins. To the left of the doorway, there is a large former shop window with a chamfered surround. The first and second floors each have a three-light flat-faced mullioned window with a projecting sill. Gutter brackets are present as well. The right-hand return wall is attached to No. 37. At the rear, there is a doorway with tie-stone jambs to the left of a six-light flat-faced mullioned window, which is missing two mullions. Additionally, there is a two-light window with plain stone surrounds on the first floor and a five-light double chamfered mullioned window on the second floor. A single stack is located at the ridge. This building is included for its group value only.
