Description
No. 11/13 on Town Gate is a house dating from the early 19th century, with alterations from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building has three storeys. The south front includes a four-light double chamfered mullioned window to the right of the doorway, which has monolithic jambs. Both the first and second floors have three-light flat faced mullioned windows, each consisting of two wide lights flanking a narrower central light. There are stone steps leading up to the first-floor doorway, which is set within an original lean-to that has quoined angles. The left-hand return wall features a four-light double chamfered window on the first floor, although this window lacks mullions. A single stack is located at the ridge. There is an attached building, No. 19, at the rear, which is of no particular interest.
