Description

No. 12 on Closes Road is a house built in the late 18th century. It features hammer-dressed stone with ashlar quoins and a band, topped by a stone slate roof. The house has two storeys and three symmetrical bays. The doorway is framed with an architrave and a triangular pediment. The windows have plain surrounds and modern glazing, with 12 panes on the ground floor and 9 panes above. The building has widely spaced gutter brackets and gable stacks. The return wall is rendered and has modern windows. This house once adjoined a now-demolished building.
