Description

No. 55 on London Lane is a house from the late 18th century, constructed of brick and topped with a modern tiled roof. It stands three storeys high and features a symmetrical facade with three bays. The central entrance has a six-panelled door that is adorned with a traceried fanlight and panelled rebates, all set within a doorcase that has an open pediment supported by fluted columns. The building includes twelve and six-light sash windows, each with gauged brick heads and stone sills. There is also a stone sill band at the first floor level and a wooden eaves cornice. Gable end stacks complete the exterior.
